Your Journey, Day by Day
Day 01Transfer from Nairobi to Samburu
Pick up in Nairobi and start your journey to Samburu. Along the way you will pass through different landscapes which slowly pull you in closer to the amazing time you are going to have for the next few days. Upon arrival at Sopa lodge in Samburu, you will check in and freshen up followed by lunch. Relax for a while and then leave for the evening game drive. You will have an opportunity to spot some animals before calling it a day. The rest of the evening will be spent at leisure.
Day 02Full day filled with adventure
You have a full day to explore the plains of Samburu with a break for lunch at the lodge. You will even visit Ewaso Nyiro river where you are sure to have premium animal sightings as they come to take a sip of water. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 03Morning game drive and transfer back
Wake up really early for an early morning game drive. Also Samburu is home to the special 5 animals which include the grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, somali ostrich and beisa oryx which are animals that have developed special survival aspects to survive the semi arid climate of the north. This will mark the end of your trip in Northern Kenya. Return to Nairobi arriving here in the evening.
